Ice falling from CN Tower, nobody hurt

Sheets of ice are falling from the CN Tower Thursday, but nobody has been hurt.

The calls started coming in at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

“There were (people) that said ice had fallen and hit the vehicles but they were reporting no damage,” Constable Wendy Drummond told CityNews. “Maybe other vehicles that had been hit and the owners haven’t been to their vehicle yet, so there is the potential for some vehicles to be damaged and they’ve not been reported yet.”

She said police are working with the building’s engineers to determine if area roads should be shut down.
