Killer has escaped from hospital twice this year

A mentally ill man with a history of violence, including murder, was found Tuesday morning after he slipped away from hospital for the second time this year.
Police issued a warning Tuesday about George May, 51, who they said could pose a threat to the public. He disappeared Monday afternoon from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) at Queen and Ossington.
He turned up at the mental health facility around 7 a.m., police said.
May was found not criminally responsible for the 2001 murder of Beverly Sims due to his mental illness — reportedly paranoid schizophrenia. The 41-year-old woman was strangled.
Police also had to alert the public in January when May disappeared from Toronto Western Hospital.
