It’s not quite a day for the record books, but it’s going to be close.

At least two golf courses are opening Wednesday for those who just can’t wait to swing a club as the temperature climbs to a guaranteed high of 14 C.

The record for this date set in 1987 was 16.7 C.

The Streetsville Glen Golf Club in Brampton, Ont., and the Century Pines Club near Hamilton are open.
