ComiCon comes to Toronto

Toronto’s version of ComiCon is set to take over the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this weekend.

The event celebrates everything comic, anime, science fiction, horror and gaming. It runs Saturday and Sunday.

The events include the Constellation Awards for sci-fi film and television, workshops and celebrity Q&As.

ComiCon started in San Diego, Calif., in 1970, and is the largest such convention in North America.

Saturday

Noon – Constellation Awards nomination announcements
Noon – Anime Workshop: Plushie Building with Heather Carriere
1 p.m. – Celebrity Q&A session: Saul Rubinek & Eddie McClintock
4 p.m. – Celebrity Q&A session: Tia Carrere

Sunday

Noon – Spotlight on George Perez
