A 25-year-old St. Catharine’s man is in critical condition after a fight on Friday night.
Niagara Regional Police and paramedics responded to a call for a disturbance and found the man badly injured near Bartlett Park in St. Catherine’s around 11:30 p.m.
Police say he was involved in a violent confrontation.
One neighbour told the St. Catharines Standard she heard loud banging and smashing outside the home.
“It was so loud I thought it was on our front porch,” she said. “Whatever it was, whatever happened, it was really loud.”
Three homes on the street have been blocked off while police attempt to determine just where the incident happened.
There’s no word on arrests.
