Billy Talent will be joining this summer’s Vans Warped Tour – the first time the Toronto-based rockers will be part the tour since 2006.
The band made the announcement from Perth, Australia, through a video message posted to YouTube.
Lead singer Ben Kowalewicz stated that the band would do two weeks of the tour between July and August.
The band originally hails from Mississauga and has won seven Juno awards since releasing their first studio album in 2003.
The Vans Warped tour is one of the most popular and longest-running festivals in North America. This will be the nineteenth year of the tour, and feature five stages and have as many as 100 bands per show.
The tour hits the Molson Amphitheatre on July 5th but, Billy Talent will not be on stage for the Toronto show.
Billy Talent will be playing locally on April 5th at the Air Canada Centre.
Tickets for both shows are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
