Pedestrian struck in Markham

A pedestrian has been hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a car in Markham on Wednesday morning.

The collision happened at Highway 7 and Main Street around 7 a.m. The driver remained on scene.

Main is closed between Dublin Street and Hwy. 7 for the investigation, York region police said.

There’s no word yet on charges.
