Maple Leafs place Komisarek on waivers

The Toronto Maple Leafs placed Mike Komisarek on waivers Wednesday and the veteran defenceman waived his no movement clause, Sportsnet.ca’s Chris Johnston confirms.

Komisarek has been a healthy scratch for the majority of the season, playing just four games for the Leafs this year.

If Komisarek clears waivers he will be assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
