The Toronto Fire marine unit was called in to rescue two loose boats on Lake Ontario on Friday morning.
The Oriole, owned by Mariposa Cruises, was one of them. It drifted from its dock during the morning’s inclement weather and struck Toronto Island.
Toronto Fire crews towed the boat from Hanlan’s Point back to safety.
The second boat did not appear to hit the island.
There were no reports of any passengers on board either boat, Toronto police said, and no damages were reported.
