Ceiling collapses at the Bay in Oakville Place

OAKVILLE – The Bay at Oakville Place Shopping Centre was closed Thursday after a portion of the ceiling collapsed onto an escalator.
“We heard a big rumble — sounded like something falling — but I could hear vibrations,” Mary, who was inside the store, told 680News.
“When I came out of the dressing room…it looked like smoke or dust all in the air.”
Halton Regional Police told CityNews that there were no injuries and the damage is minor.
