Civic holiday: What’s open and closed

Find what is open and closed in the city should you need to pick up a couple of things for that backyard barbecue this holiday weekend.
Open Monday, Aug. 5
- Some LCBO and Beer Stores (Be sure to visit the LCBO website to check individual store hours. Find Beer Store locations here.)
- Malls: Eaton Centre 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Yorkdale Shopping Centre 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Vaughan Mills 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sherway Gardens 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dufferin Mall 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fairview Mall 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Pacific Mall
- Some grocery stores (Some stores will have shortened holiday hours.)
- Major attractions: CN Tower, Ontario Science Centre, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto Zoo, Canada’s Wonderland and Casa Loma
Transit
- The TTC will operate on a holiday schedule (Sunday service but will begin earlier at approximately 6 a.m. Routes that do not normally operate on Sunday will not operate on the holiday, the TTC says.)
- GO Transit will operate on its Sunday schedule
Closed Aug. 5
- Government offices, including post offices (No mail delivery.)
- Banks
- Public libraries
- Most child-care centres
