Van for adults with special needs stolen in Brampton

A wheelchair accessible van that transports dozens of people with special needs was stolen on Monday morning in Brampton, Peel police say.

The white Ford Econovan is owned by the Special Needs Adult Program Services Organization and is the sole mode of transportation for more than 35 people with special needs, police say.

It was locked and parked at 4 p.m. on Friday at a parking lot at 922 North Park Drive.

The licence plate is SNAPSO1 and it has a distinctive logo on the side and two smaller logos on the other side.
