Haunted Toronto: Billed as a Halloween scavenger hunt for adults, this two-hour walk through some of Toronto’s most haunted areas requires little more than a flashlight and some steely nerves. Rather than collecting items, teams will battle by answering trivia questions about Toronto’s grisly past. The event takes place outside the grounds of the ROM, U of T and Queen’s Park. Delicious Food Show: Food lovers can indulge their appetites and learn the tricks of the culinary trade from some of the world’s most renowned chefs over this three-day event. There will be hundreds of exhibits, tastings and workshops with appearances by celebrities Martha Stewart, Chuck Hughes and Mark McEwan, to name a few. Better Living Centre. Junction Pumpkinfest: The Junction neighbourhood will be painted orange at this annual family-friendly event. There will be pumpkin-inspired treats and activities at local participating businesses, and you can get creative and carve your own pumpkin at the Junction train platform at Dundas and Pacific streets. Pedestrian Sundays: Kensington Market will open up the streets to pedestrians for the last time this season on Sunday. The now-beloved tradition bans cars, allowing families to stroll at ease and enjoy the plethora of performances, not to mention tasty treats. Augusta and College streets. Camp Oochigeas 30th Anniversary: Camp Oochigeas, which provides kids with cancer the chance to attend camp, will mark its 30th anniversary with a campfire celebration. Bonus event:
BOO-st Spooktacular: This family fun Halloween party takes place aboard the Captain Matthew Flinders Cruise Ship (docked at Queens Quay) and will be hosted by Cityline’s Tracy Moore. There will be Halloween-themed food, activities, entertainment, costume contests and a monster mash. All proceeds support Boost, child abuse prevention and intervention.
