A new survey by Breathe Right Nasal Strips found 91-percent of Torontonians get less than eight hours of sleep a night.
Bryce Wylde is the Rogers Alternative Health expert and he says these numbers aren’t good.
“What’s really lacking is quality of sleep, more than it is clocking hours on the pillow, what we really want to pick up on is getting that real deep sleep,” Wylde said.
“What’s waking up a lot of folks based on a poll just done recently by the folks at Breathe Right is nasal congestion.”
About 60 percent of people complain of nasal congestion at night and there are solutions to this issue.
“Possibly one of those nasal strips, a Breathe Right strip, might actually help you from waking up,” Wylde explains.
The Pod Hotel is located at the corner of Bay Street and Wellington Street offers a place to nap. The hotel is ther until Sunday at 6 p.m. Walk-up naps are welcome if there is a spot available.
“If you’re going to nap during the day, no more than 20 minutes is advisable,” Wylde said.
