Given how terrible so many new sitcoms are, it’s a little puzzling that Sarah Silverman’s “Susan 313” didn’t get a shot on TV.
But the failed show’s pilot is getting screened on YouTube.
Silverman stars as a former musician who breaks up with her boyfriend after a 10-year relationship and moves back into her old apartment. The show was originally planned for the 2012-2013 TV schedule.
Sure, the pilot (http://bit.ly/16A6Z3T) is not great. There’s an unnecessary meta-gimmick that sees the action paused so Silverman’s character can explain her life to a focus group audience, a bit that just gets in the way.
But the show has its moments and seems like it had potential to grow into something better, especially if it found a home on a cable network like FX or HBO.

After a flood of press that followed the release of the new season of “Arrested Development” on Netflix, show creator Mitch Hurwitz got a little quiet. But he recently spoke at the New York Television Festival and shared some trivia with fans of the show.
He said he originally considered Jeremy Piven for the role of Michael, which went to Jason Bateman, and Aida Turturro (who played Janice on “The Sopranos”) was up for Portia de Rossi’s role. Hurwitz also said he also really wanted “How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor to play a major part in the show but it just didn’t work out. http://bit.ly/17iPwTp
