On Friday, councillors overwhelmingly voted to strip Mayor Rob Ford of some of his powers.
The scandal-plagued mayor can no longer remove the deputy mayor or take councillors off committees, including members of the executive committee. Ford has also been stripped of his emergency powers. Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly will now assume responsibility in the face of an emergency.
