Pearson check-ins ‘going well’ after Saturday’s computer glitch

Most of the technical problems that caused delays and long lineups at Toronto’s Pearson airport on Saturday have been fixed.

The glitch affected the computers at all of the check-in counters in terminals 1 and 3 for the entire day. The self-serve kiosks were working as normal.

The airlines had to check in passengers manually during the outage.

Technicians from the system’s operator, IBM, worked to resolve most of the problems by Sunday morning.

Just before 5 a.m., Pearson airport said things were going well, but still recommended checking in online and making sure flights were on time before heading out.
