A fixture of a hip downtown neighbourhood has died.
One of the famed white squirrels of Trinity Bellwoods park was found dead on Monday, hanging from a hydro wire.
Residents say it appears the squirrel was electrocuted.
The albino rodents have been a popular attraction in the Queen West neighbourhood since they were first spotted in the 1980s. A cafe and a street in the area are also named after the squirrels.
