2 people injured after explosion at Brampton construction site

Two people were injured in an explosion in Brampton on Thursday morning.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. at a construction site at Mississauga Road and Bovaird Drive West.

Two people were taken to hospital by air ambulance — one with serious injuries.

Brampton Fire described the situation as a trench rescue and said it had brought five trucks to assist.
