Toronto novelist Terry Fallis wins second Leacock Medal

ORILLIA, Ont. – Toronto novelist Terry Fallis has once again won the Leacock Medal for Humour, this time for “No Relation.”
He was named the winner on Thursday in Orillia, Ont., and will receive the honour at a gala in June.
The medal comes with a $15,000 cash prize provided by TD Financial Group.
Fallis first won the award in 2008 for his political satire novel “The Best Laid Plans,” which was made into a CBC miniseries.
He was also a finalist for the medal in 2011 and 2013.
Fallis plans to publish his fifth novel, “Poles Apart,” in October.
Runners-up for the prize, named after Canadian humorist Stephen Leacock, receive $1,500 apiece.
