One in critical condition after west-end stabbing

Police have taken a suspect into custody after a young woman was stabbed near in a park in the city’s west end.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near S.A.D.R.A Park in the St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road area around 1 p.m. Friday.
Paramedics said the woman was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
There has been no word on the connection between the victim and the suspect or a possible motive for the attack.
Police have the area taped off while they investigate.
