CTV weather icon Bob McIntyre dies at age 73

A longtime weatherman with CTV Barrie has died, the station confirmed Thursday.
Bob McIntyre, who boasted over 50 years in broadcasting before retiring in November 2015, passed away in a Barrie hospital at the age of 73.
McIntyre started in radio in the late 1960s before going over to TV in 1972 when he moved to Barrie.
He was on the news beat until 1983, when he switched over to weather.
McIntyre became famous for showing pictures children drew for him during his weather broadcast.
CTV reports that his wife, Darlene, was by his side when he died.
