Man charged with alleged sex assault on teen at Etobicoke convenience store

A Toronto man who operates an Etobicoke convenience store is accused of sexually assaulting a young boy who regularly frequented the business.

Police say the man befriended the 13-year-old boy and later sexually assaulted him inside the store in the Royal York Road and Mimico Avenue area.

Habibullah Prodhan, 49, also known as Habib, was arrested on Monday.

He’s facing single counts of sexual assault and sexual interference and was scheduled to appear in court in Tuesday morning.
