Pregnant woman seriously injured in head-on crash

A pregnant woman in her 20s was among four people taken to hospital following a serious crash in Scarborough.

Police were called to the area of Midland Avenue and Treewood Street just after 9 p.m. following reports of a head-on collision.

Police tell 680 News they were called to the area of Midland Avenue and Treewood Street just after 9 p.m. after a car hit another car head-on after crossing the centre line.

A man, a pregnant woman and an infant who were in the car that was struck have all been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, although the pregnant woman’s injuries are considered serious.

A man in the other car suffered minor injuries.

No word yet if any charges will be laid.
