A man was taken to a Mississauga hospital after he drove into a QEW barrier wall on Wednesday — the second time this month a vehicle has hit that wall.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. at North Service Road and Harvest Drive, near Dixie Road.
Const. Bancroft Wright said a van slammed into the wall at “full impact,” and the firefighters had to extricate the driver.
Paramedics took the man to hospital with minor injuries. No one else was in the vehicle.
On July 5, a woman was seriously injured when her car plowed into the wall at Dixie Road, just 300 metres away.
And in January, a van crashed through the wall — also at Dixie Road — and landed on the westbound lanes of the QEW, where it was hit by a tractor-trailer. The driver had serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
