Halton police have charged a 22-year-old man with attempted murder after a stabbing at an Oakville restaurant.

Officers say they were called to Kerr Street Pub and Grill around 9:30 p.m. on Friday night after reports of an altercation between two men.

Both the men had left the scene by the time police arrived, but the investigation revealed the accused had allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times.

The victim made his way to an area hospital and was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Joshua Thevenin, 22, of no fixed address was arrested in Burlington on Sunday and is facing one charge of attempted murder.
