Victim identified in Rexdale double shooting

An 18-year-old man has been identified as one of the victims of a double shooting in Rexdale on Sunday.

Emergency crews were called to 18 John Garland Boulevard near Kendleton Drive just before 2 p.m.

Two victims were found on the scene with gunshot wounds. One of them was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died of his injuries.

He has been identified as Nicklus McKain of Toronto.

The second victim, a 19-year-old man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police have released surveillance footage of a newer model white Nissan Rouge believed to be connected to the shooting. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound down Kipling Avenue, near John Garland Boulevard.

There is no word yet on any suspect information.
