Raptors parade Monday in Toronto: Everything you need to know

Toronto is celebrating the Raptors’ first NBA championship and that party will continue on Monday with a parade and fan rally downtown.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Princes’ Gates on the Exhibition grounds and will travel along Lake Shore to York Street, then north on York to University Avenue, to Queen Street and Nathan Phillips Square.

The parade will feature open-air double decker buses carrying the team with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy. It will then arrive at Nathan Phillips Square for the fan rally, which will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A parade viewing party will also be held at Coronation Park, located at 711 Lakeshore Blvd. W.

*NOTE: The 510 Spadina will not be available at Union Station. Commuters should use the 509 Harbourfront instead to connect with the 510 at Spadina Ave. and Queens Quay (Spadina Loop).

Road Closures

The city said Monday there will be a series of rolling closures that will affect streets on and around Exhibition Place, Lake Shore Boulevard West, York Street and University Avenue.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. the eastbound Gardiner Expressway exits at Spadina and York-Bay-Yonge will be closed.
