Dog bite foils theft of man’s gold dental grill

Durham police are crediting a dog with foiling an attempted robbery of a man’s decorative dental cover.
Police say two men became involved in a verbal altercation with another man in a home on Park Road South in Oshawa.
One of the suspects allegedly produced a handgun and demanded that the victim hand over his gold dental grill.
During the ensuing struggle, the victim’s dog bit one of the suspects before chasing them out of the home.
Police located the suspects nearby. One of them was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Jordan Ford, 20, and Nathan Linden-Gaskin, 23, are facing several charges including robbery, use of an imitation firearm and weapons dangerous.
