An Oshawa man is facing several charges after Durham police say they seized $18,000 worth of street level drugs.

The charges come as a result of an investigation into trafficking of controlled substances in Durham Region.

Police arrested the suspect on Tuesday, around 5:30 p.m. while he was in his vehicle near Baseline Road and Liberty Street in Bowmanville.

Officers found a small amount of crystal meth inside his shoe and a small quantity of Fentanyl in the vehicle as well.

A search warrant was then executed at the man’s home in Oshawa where police found more drugs.

In total, police seized more than $14,800 in crystal meth, $2,300 in cocaine and $975 in Fentanyl.

Mile Lavcanski, 36, has been charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and was held for a bail hearing.
