Police investigate 4 cases of shots fired overnight in GTA

No injuries were reported after gunshots rang out in four separate incidents overnight in the GTA.

The first began around 7:45 p.m. Thursday when Toronto police received a call about multiple gunshots heard near Sewells Road and Empringham Drive area, in the Malvern area.

Spent shell casings were found in the area and police say a bullet went through the window of a home.

Two men were seen leaving the area in a white sedan.

No suspect information is available at this time and an investigation is ongoing.

Then, just before 11 p.m. bullet holes were found in a home and a car near Sheppard Avenue and Highway 400.

Minutes later, officers were called to Turf Grassway in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue after shots were fired into a home.

Police said multiple shell casings were found at the scene. Police could not say if the second and third case of gunshots being fired were connected.

Around the same time, Peel police were investigating a report of shots fired in the Amantine Crescent and Bloomingdales Drive area, near Hurontario and Highway 407, in Brampton.

A car was found with bullet holes in it. Police said the suspects fled the area.

In each case, police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have security video of the area at the time, to contact investigators.
