Male in hospital after Chinatown shooting

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot inside a Vietnamese noodle restaurant near Dundas and Spadina early Tuesday morning, according to police. Tammie Sutherland reports from the scene.

One male is in hospital after a shooting at a 24-hour restaurant in Chinatown.

Toronto police were called to the restaurant on the south side of Dundas Street West west of Spadina Avenue around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

The man was found inside the restaurant.

He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but his condition has since been upgraded to not life-threatening.

So far there’s no word of any arrest or description of a suspect.
