Emirates stopping all flights, Turkish Airlines suspending some domestic flights

Emirates, the worlds fourth largest airline, says its stopping all passenger flights by Wednesday.

The airline is temporarily grounding 250 jets in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing flight restrictions from countries all across the world.

It says the move will preserve business viability, secure jobs worldwide, and avoid cuts.

The company says its skycargo operations will continue.

Turkish Airlines is also suspending some of its domestic flights withing Canada.

The airline says it is suspending Toronto and Montreal flights until further notice.

In a statement, the airline says it will continue to monitor the latest developments with national and international health authorities.

For those with tickets for international flights, the airline is offering cancellation and route or date change options free of charge.
