Man rescued from Scarborough Bluffs
A man is in hospital after being trapped for several hours on the Scarborough Bluffs.
Toronto Fire District Chief Bryce McDonald said the man was found clinging to a tree about 25 feet down the bluffs. He had been there since around 2 a.m. with no cell phone or identification on him.
McDonald said a passerby heard the man yelling for help around 7 a.m. and shortly after emergency crews arrived on scene.

Fire crews repelled down the escarpment to rescue the man and were able to lift him to safety.
The man suffered a non-life-threatening injury to his leg.
McDonald said they are still investigating the events that led up to the man’s fall, but said he may have been walking along one of the trails in the area.
