High school students in all but 24 of Ontario’s school boards will be back in class full time in September, the province announced Thursday.
In those two dozen boards, students will attend class half the time, with a maximum class size of 15. They’ll receive “curriculum-linked independent work” on days when they are not in school.
The province says it considered a number of factors in deciding which boards would open with the so-called “hybrid” model, including whether they are predominantly urban, the size and number of secondary schools and class sizes.
