Missing Aurora woman’s vehicle found burned, abandoned

By News Staff

York Regional Police said they have found the vehicle belonging to Helen Sedo, who has been missing since July, and believed to be dead.

Her husband, 61-year-old John Sedo, was arrested in September and charged with second degree murder.

Police recovered the vehicle last week after it was found by hunters in a quarry, northeast of Huntsville.

It had been completely burned.

Investigators want to speak with anyone who saw the vehicle, or a fire in the area, between August and September.

John Sedo has a court appearance via video link Thursday afternoon.

Police say it is a coincidence they sent out an update on the discovery of the burned out vehicle on the day of one of his court dates.
