A man is dead and a woman is in hospital after an overnight shooting in Scarborough.
Emergency crews were called to Lawrence Avenue East near Scarborough Golf Club Road around 1:15 a.m. on Friday.
680 NEWS reports the victims were inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a townhouse complex when it appears a gunman approached on foot and opened fire. The gunman then ran off.
Keron Brathwaite, 27, of Toronto was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
There is no word on a suspect description.
