Pedestrian killed by GO train in Milton, service suspended on Milton line

A person was struck and killed by a GO train east of Milton GO station on Thursday morning.
All train service on the Milton line was suspended for the morning commute.
Buses were running between Milton GO and Dixie GO stations. An express bus took commuters from Dixie to Union Station.
The person was struck in the area of the Sixth Line Milton railway crossing near Derry Road around 7 a.m.
GO transit said emergency workers were on site all morning and trains would not be able to move through the area for about 2 hours.
Police have closed Sixth Line to northbound traffic for the investigation.
