Toronto police say the death of a woman who was found gravely injured in a North York home has now been ruled a homicide.
Police were called to the Yorkdale Crescent and Lovilla Boulevard area just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to conduct a well-being check.
They found a person in the basement with what police called a “suspicious” injury.
In a tweet police said life-saving measures were attempted, but the person was later pronounced dead at the scene.
