A man who police say advertised his services online as a nanny has been charged in a series of alleged sexual assaults, some involving children.
Police say they were called to a hotel in the Front Street West and York Street area for reports of several sexual assaults at the site between October 1, and October 2, 2021.
Then on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 10:20 a.m., police were called to the Toronto Island Ferry Terminal after a man said he was sexually assaulted by another man who approached him on a bicycle at the terminal entrance.
Two days later, police were called to a daycare centre on Algonquin Island. Police say a man sexually assaulted several children when they were exiting the daycare.
The same man is believed to be involved in all three incidents.
Prasanna Mondal, 24, of Toronto is facing charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.
Police say Mondal advertises his services as a nanny on the website Canadiannanny.ca.
