Ontario reports zero COVID-related deaths, 326 new virus cases

Ontario is reporting 326 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday and zero virus-related deaths.

The number of people who have died as a result of the virus in Ontario remains at 9,846.

Of the overall new cases, 231 are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, while 95 are fully vaccinated.

In a tweet, Health Minister Christine Elliott said 163 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 (excluding ICU) and 138 are in the ICU, adding that not all hospitals report on the weekends.

According to the latest data, nearly 87.9 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and over have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and nearly 83.9 per cent have two doses.

Health officials conducted 18,397 tests in the past 24 hours with a positivity rate of 1.6 per cent.
