Metrolinx expects GO bus service disruptions Monday due to unvaccinated employees

In advance of a deadline for Metrolinx employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the provincial transit agency is warning of possible disruptions on some bus routes starting Monday.
“We’re preparing for operational impacts tomorrow to our #GOBus service that will result in the cancellation of some trips,” GO Transit said in a tweet late Sunday. “We’re doing our best to minimize the impacts to service.”
GO Transit did not indicate how many or exactly where those disruptions would occurr, except to say they would send “updated messages” to any routes affected by cancellations and that customers should consult their Twitter feed (@GOtransitBus) and their service updates page for details.

The transit agency, at the direction of Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney, is requiring all employees to be vaccinated against coronavirus or to provide proof of a medical exemption by November 1. Anyone who does not comply will be placed on unpaid leave.
Metrolinx said as of October 29, just over 95 per cent of its employees who has supplied their vaccination status are fully vaccinated.
