Man charged with murder after incident at Scarborough home

A 24-year-old man is facing a murder charge following an incident at a Scarborough home that left a woman dead.

Police were called to the residence on Ellesmere Road near Meadowvale Road just after 3 a.m. on Friday.

Investigators discovered a woman wwith trauma to her body. She was rushed to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police have identified her as Nabila Aminzadah, 36, of Toronto.

Carland Walker of Toronto was arrested at the scene and charged with first degree murder.

Police did not reveal the relationship, if any, between Walker and Aminzadah.
