Man dead after apparent drive-by shooting in Scarborough

Toronto police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting in Scarborough that claimed the life of a man in his 20s on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the scene outside a low-rise apartment complex at Lawrence Avenue East and Orton Park Road just after 10 p.m. for reports of shots being fired from a car.
The man was found on the ground outside the apartment building without vital signs.
Paramedics tried to save his life, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It appears the victim may have been sitting in or standing next to a vehicle when shots were fired from another vehicle.
Police say a grey car was seen fleeing the area, but no suspect descriptions are currently available.
