Hit-and-run crash in Ajax leaves 1 dead

Durham Police say they have one person in custody following a fatal hit and run collision in Ajax on Saturday morning.
Police say a blue Honda Accord and a black Chevrolet pick-up truck collided in the intersection of Harwood Avenue and Kingston Road around 3:14 a.m..
The 73-year-old passenger of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene while the 40-year-old female driver was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pick-up truck, which police say was stolen, fled the scene but was arrested a short while later.
Jason Selig, 29, of Pickering is facing a number of charges including impaired driving causing death, theft and driving without a license.
