Girl, 12, seriously injured after struck by school bus in Brampton

A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a school bus in Brampton on Thursday.

Peel police were called to the scene at McMurchy Avenue and Elgin Drive, near McLaughlin Road, at around 8 a.m.

Paramedics said the girl has serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene.

It is not yet clear if any children were on the bus at the time.
