What’s open and closed in Toronto over New Year’s

New Year’s Day lands on the weekend this year which means another long weekend in the GTA.
Many businesses will be operating on holiday hours and several services will be closed at certain points over the weekend.
In Toronto, almost all city attractions will remain open through the weekend including the CN Tower, Toronto Zoo, Casa Loma and Ripley’s Aquarium.
City-run skating rinks will remain open through the weekend, including Nathan Phillips Square. Full schedules for city-run rinks can be found here.
