Train derails in Scarborough Sunday afternoon, no injuries reported

Nobody has been injured in Scarborough after a train derailed Sunday afternoon at a CP rail site.

Toronto police say it happened in the area of Neilson Road and McLevin Avenue around 3 p.m.

Toronto Fire says five cars derailed — some with hazardous materials — but there are no leaks.

There are also no road closures in the area, however, rail traffic has been halted.

The cause of the derailment is not known.
