Two teens arrested in connection to stabbing of boy after school in Scarborough

Toronto police say two teenagers have been arrested after a boy was stabbed earlier this week near Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in Scarborough.
Police say they got a call for a stabbing around 3 p.m. on Monday in the area of Birchmount Road and Danforth Avenue. Officers say three boys were involved in an altercation outside a high school and a 14-year-old boy was stabbed, the two others ran away from the scene. The victim was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Later that day, in a letter sent to parents and guardians, the school said the victim is a student at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute and the Toronto District School Board would be making counselling and support available for those who saw or heard about what happened.
On Wednesday, police say a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were arrested. They have both been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, and carry concealed weapon.
One boy is scheduled to appear in court on Friday and the other is set to appear in court in June.
