Lockdown lifted at Brampton school after youth seen carrying axe: Peel police

The lockdown has been lifted at a Brampton school after an individual was seen carrying an axe outside the building on Tuesday.

Officers responded to a weapons call around noon at Fletcher’s Creek Sr. Public School, in the area of Hurontario Street and Ray Lawson Boulevard.

Police say a male youth was seen with an axe outside the school.

Officers located the weapon when they arrived and completed a search inside the school. They say they were unable to locate the male they believe was carrying the weapon.

No injuries have been reported.
